MO Hemp Program approved by USDA


JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - The Missouri Industrial Hemp Program has received the federal stamp of approval. The USDA announced the approval for industrial hemp to be grown in the 2021 growing season.

Communications Director for the Missouri Department of Agriculture Sami Jo Freeman told KXCV/KRNW that the process that growers need to go through in order to legally grow industrial hemp in the state.

Freeman says that nearly 200 growers have been registered as growers within the state. More information is at agriculture.mo.gov
